Dear Community
Member,
Thank
you so much for supporting Pixel and Luna’s Birthday Fundraiser! Through the
month of April we raised funds, supplies, and awareness for Lucky Day Animal Rescue. Volunteers
from Lucky Day give their time, energy, and finances every day to provide food,
shelter, medical attention, and ultimately adoption for the animals in our
community. In honor of Pixel and Luna’s shared birthday month, we want to give
back in a small way to the groups that do such excellent work in our community.
With your support and generosity, we raised $2,087.74
for Lucky Day Animal Rescue! We
also collected 200 cans of cat food, 20 fleece blankets, cat toys, dog food,
and paper towels.
We
are so thankful for the support of friends, family members, and local
businesses who have contributed to our fundraiser! Specifically, we’d like to
thank our corporate sponsors, Spud
Software and Four Paws Hotel and Day
Resort for making our 2017 fundraiser possible. We’d also like to thank Biggby Coffee Burton, along with manager
Erica, and assistant manager Cameron for hosting Pixel and Luna’s Birthday
party! We had nearly 70 people attend the event on April 22. Biggby Coffee
Burton also donated goody bags for the first 20 people, and Biggby coupons to
go inside the bags. We want to thank Hoffman’s
Deco Deli & Café for featuring our fundraiser as the April sandwich of
the month, and donating a portion of each sandwich sold. The “Pixel and Luna”
sandwich raised $30. We want to thank Flint
Crepe Company for including us on their Tuesday Tips calendar. On Tuesday,
April 11, the restaurant collected $176 in tips for Pixel and Luna’s Birthday
Fundraiser. We also would like to extend our thanks to Tropical Smoothie Davison for donating 10% of sales from 1-5 p.m.
on Sunday, April 23, which totaled $225. Davison
Farmers Market hosted a fundraiser table at the market on Saturday, April
8, and we raised $100 in raffle tickets and wristbands sold there.
Juliet Cantrell of StyleMeLovely
designed a custom fundraiser t-shirt and donated a portion of each shirt sold
throughout the month of April, totaling $60. Jackie Kissell held a LuLaRoe fundraiser during the month, and
donated a portion of each item sold, totaling $40. We also want to thank Rescue Candle, LLC for holding a candle
fundraiser, through which we raised $79.75. Job’s Daughters, Mt. Morris Bethel #75 used Pixel and Luna’s
Birthday Fundraiser as a service project, and made 10 fleece blankets for us to
donate.
We would also like to thank Hello Cats and Dogs in Frankenmuth, Café Rhema, Kristen Mason and Yolanda Britt from Balance and Beauty Collective, Family Video in Burton, Dodie Anderson, Courtney Stratman, Katie Timmerman, Athena Nagel, Beth Van Hamlin, Lucky Day Animal Rescue, and Gracie Starr for donating raffle auction prizes and giveaways for our birthday party event.
We
would like to specifically thank Courtney
Stratman, Athena Nagel, and Teresa Cannon for their help in
planning, logistics coordination, and birthday party support. We would like to
recognize Virginia Cream for her
time and energy spearheading our wristband sales efforts within our network of
co-workers. We raised $155 through wristband sales alone!
Our
two dearly loved cats would not be alive today without the important and often
thankless work of local animal rescue groups, and we are so excited to be able to
support Lucky Day Animal Rescue in this way. Thank you SO much for being part
of Pixel and Luna’s Birthday Fundraiser. We are so thankful for your partnership!
